Product Description

Product Description:

Brown corundum is a type of abrasive material that is produced using bauxite and coke (anthracite) as the main raw materials. It is smelted at high temperatures using an arc furnace. Abrasive blasting using brown corundum has short grinding time, high efficiency, good benefits and low price. This product has moderate hardness, high toughness, good self-sharpening, low sand consumption, and good grinding finish. It also has stable chemical composition, wear-resistance, acid and alkali resistance. Its conchoidal structure and sharp edges allow it to continuously form new edges and corners during grinding, which makes it a better abrasive compared to others. Its unique properties, such as high hardness, specific gravity and self-sharpening, make it an ideal choice for abrasive blasting process, which can achieve matt effect by removing rust, contamination, oxidation skin and welding slag from workpieces.

Brown corundum is made of high-quality bauxite as raw material, anthracite and iron filings. It is made by arc smelting at a temperature of 2000°C or higher. Its texture is dense and hard, with high spherical pellets that make it suitable for the production of ceramic, high-resistance abrasive resin, grinding, polishing, sandblasting, precision casting, as well as high-grade refractories. The brown corundum abrasive has high purity, good crystallization, strong fluidity, low coefficient of linear expansion, and corrosion resistance. It does not explode, chalk or crack during application, which has been verified by dozens of fireproof production companies. It is highly cost-effective compared to traditional brown corundum, making it the best aggregate and filler for fused alumina refractories.

Features:

Brown corundum is a popular option for sandblasting surface treatment due to its high density, resulting in less dust during the sandblasting process. This contributes to operator safety, as well as improving visibility. In contrast, slag, a brittle abrasive material, easily breaks into smaller particles during sandblasting, leading to environmental pollution. Quartz sand, another commonly used abrasive, is also fragile and not recommended.

With its sharp edges, brown corundum quickly impacts the surface of the object, resulting in a highly efficient cleaning rate twice as fast as other conventional abrasives. The unique particle size further reduces the loss of abrasive, ensuring a cost-effective approach to surface treatment.

Environmentally friendly and non-toxic, brown corundum does not contain harmful free silicon, toxic heavy metals or radioactive pollutants commonly found in other abrasive materials. In addition, its recyclability greatly reduces waste disposal costs, making it a sustainable choice.

Applications:

There are several industries that benefit from using sandblasting as a cleaning process. This environmentally friendly method can be used in fields such as aluminum profile, copper profile, glass, washed jeans, precision molds and more. Grinding is another method that is used in several industries. It can be applied to picture tubes, optical glass, monocrystalline silicon, lenses, watch glass, crystal glass, jade and other materials.

Resin abrasives are known for their good color, hardness, toughness and edge retention. They are commonly used in various industries and come in a range of suitable particle cross-section types. Hydraulic cutting is commonly used in many industries such as washing plant, sandblasting, steel structure plant, micro powder plant, grinding wheel plant, sandpaper, gauze plant, crystal, glass industry and more.
