White corundum is a type of abrasive material that is commonly used in many different applications. It is created by melting industrial alumina powder in an arc furnace at a temperature of over 2000 degrees Celsius, and then cooling it down. Small amounts of impurities have relatively little effect on the properties of white corundum, which further adds to its versatility.

 

White corundum's hardness allows it to be used for surface polishing of glass, metal, and other materials, with the surface roughness going as low as 0.02µm. It has good corrosion resistance, making it ideal for use in chemical equipment and anti-corrosion equipment.
