The main component of ceramic shot is zirconia, which is mainly used for surface treatment such as sand blasting and shot peening. The production process of ceramic shot is to melt high-quality imported zircon sand into liquid at high temperature, and then spray it into balls. The zirconia ceramic spheres are sieved and removed by magnetic separation to obtain particles with high roundness, high strength and uniform particle size. The spherical particles of ceramic shot can achieve better surface brightness during sandblasting, while the workpiece itself does not change color. It is widely used for sandblasting and surface treatment of aviation parts, stainless steel plates, structural parts, stainless steel kitchenware, medical devices,mobile phone / laptop shell, automobile chassis / engine, sports equipment and other industries.

Because of the spherical and smooth surface of ceramic sand which does not damage the workpiece,with the help of good elasticity, ceramic sand can bounce back from multiple angles during sandblasting. This makes it suitable for complex workpieces in metal and plastic structure, and also has the effect of eliminating stress and improving the service life of the workpiece.
The breakage rate of ceramic sand is low, reducing the number of reloading, thus both reducing the cost of materials and workers. It is cost-effective and the surface finish is higher, and service life is around 20-30 times more as compared to glass sand. Producing less dust, the environment is cleaner and not harmful for human body, no potential silicosis.
The size distribution of ceramic sand is uniform, and it has no porosity , high toughness, hardness, and impact resistance. Applications:
Sandblasting with ceramic beads is a pre-treatment method which can produce a uniform and uneven rough surface on the cleaned substrate to facilitate the mechanical bonding of a coating. Using compressed air to drive clean ceramic sand to spray on the surface of the workpiece, it generates compressive stress on the metal substrate and removes its surface oxide layer, causing lattice distortion of part of the surface. This is an effective way to acquire a clean, rough and high reactive surface.
