Product Description:
B series Ceramic beads blasting media is an ideal sandblasting media for various purposes. It is based on zirconia and boasts high hardness and remarkable surface smoothness. It is an advantageous and promising alternative to other media options, as it can be recycled.
This type of blasting media is suitable for a wide range of industrial applications. Used primarily for blasting, finishing, cleaning, deburring and surface pretreatment of manufactured metal parts, it is also applicable in maintenance and in production processes.
Features:
Ceramic sand possesses a unique, microstructural feature, made of crystallized zirconia (ZrO2) enwrapped by a glass matrix. Such characteristics provide the sand with the following benefits:
①High hardness which, when it comes to sandblasting, can effectively transfer the energy of the impact point.
②High toughness to reserve the stability of the medium during hundreds of cycles of the sandblasting process.
③No contamination will be done to the treated surface.
④Very little dust is produced, as a result assuring the production efficiency and reduce tear and wear on the sandblasting equipment.
In order to provide users with a quality product, a controlled process with rigorous quality control is employed, making use of advanced technologies, such as particle size laser diffraction and morphological image inspection.
Technical Parameters:
This product is white to the eye, with a spherical, bead, or ball shape. Its production technology is the melting method. The chemical composition is composed of 65% ZrO2 and 35% SiO2. Density is 3.86g/cm3, Vickers hardness is 643~785HV, dust pollution is none, and there is no metal contamination. This product is long-lasting, and its cycle index is high.
Applications:
Blasting cleaning is a process used to clean workpieces which have burrs, casting slag, and other contaminants. It can also be used to remove mold residues from the surface.
Blasting finishes help to restore metal surfaces to their original, natural colors and also provide an even, matte effect.
Pre-treatment is completed before anodizing and coating to get a clean surface and a frosted rough appearance.
