Product Description

9.0 Mohs Brown Aluminum Oxide Powder Abrasive 180 Mesh

1. Introduction

In the process of sandblasting, brown corundum can penetrate deep into the holes and pits on the surface and reach the bare surface of the metal, so it can completely remove all rust, water-soluble salts and other pollutants. Brown corundum is an abrasive material that is produced by smelting bauxite in a high temperature electric arc furnace. The process involves melting the raw material at a temperature of approximately 2000°C, and then cooling it down quickly. This results in the formation of brown corundum crystals.

Feature

Resist thermal shock

3. Advantages

1. Steady chemical composition

2. Resist thermal shock: withstand sudden changes in temperature, and great for use in high-temperature applications

3. Better communication with customers

4. Increased agility in responding to market demands

4. Applications

1. Brown corundum abrasive grains have a high melting point 1050℃ and 1350 ℃, which means they can operate at extreme temperatures.

2. Brown corundum is commonly used in grinding wheels to sharpen and bring finishing to metal, such as steel, iron, and alloys.
